The President of the Republic met with the President of Hungary
During his working visit to Doha, President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the President of Hungary, Tamás Sulyok, within the framework of the Second World Summit for Social Development.
During the meeting, the sides discussed possible ways to strengthen relations between Armenia and Hungary. Both sides emphasized the effective cooperation already established in the fields of air transportation and pharmaceuticals, highlighting the need to further expand ties, particularly in the economic sphere.
The presidents also underlined the important role of the Armenian community in Hungary in strengthening bilateral relations. Tamás Sulyok noted that thanks to the active engagement of the Armenian community, Armenia is perceived in Hungary as a friendly country.
President Vahagn Khachaturyan highly appreciated the respectful and inclusive policy adopted by the Hungarian authorities toward both the Armenians of Hungary and national minorities in general.
Both sides stressed the importance of continuing high-level visits and meetings, which give new impetus to business cooperation and deepen mutual understanding between the two peoples.
