President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Syunik Governor Robert Ghukasyan

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan today received the Governor of Syunik, Robert Ghukasyan.

During the meeting, the Governor presented the President with the general situation in the Syunik region, current developments, as well as ongoing and upcoming multi-sectoral programs.

The discussion touched upon initiatives aimed at the socio-economic development of Syunik and the progress of programs implemented in cooperation with the Hayastan All Armenian Fund.

Special emphasis was placed on the strategic importance of renovating the Spandaryan Canal, for which funds raised during the foundation’s annual telethon are also planned to be allocated.

The Governor additionally presented the stages of implementation of approved and already launched programs aimed at improving the living conditions of the region’s residents.

President Vahagn Khachaturyan highlighted the importance of the continuity and effectiveness of the work carried out in Syunik, stressing that the sustainable development of the region remains one of the priorities of state policy.
