President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Aramazd Ghalamkaryan, Chairman of the Water Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the newly appointed Chairman of the Water Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, Aramazd Ghalamkaryan.

The President congratulated him on assuming this responsible position and wished him success in his future work.

During the meeting, Aramazd Ghalamkaryan presented information about the current activities of the committee, the existing situation, and the priority actions. It was emphasized that in this extremely important infrastructural sector there are several urgent issues, the resolution of which has become a vital necessity.

President Vahagn Khachaturyan highlighted the importance of consistent and coordinated work by the committee, stressing the need to intensify efforts toward the preservation of water resources, their efficient management, and sustainable use. He noted that reforms in the water sector are among the important components of Armenia’s socio-economic and territorial development.

In this context, reference was also made to the reconstruction program of the Spandaryan Canal, which is included among the key goals of this year’s telethon of the Hayastan All Armenian Fund. The progress of the program’s implementation, its strategic significance, and expectations related to improving water supply security were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the vital importance of the ongoing projects in the water sector and the necessity of ensuring their efficient and timely implementation were emphasized.
