The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Armenia, Ivan Orlić, presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Armenia, Ivan Orlić, presented his credentials to President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan.

Congratulating the newly appointed ambassador on assuming office, President Khachaturyan noted that there is significant, yet not fully realized, potential for cooperation between the two countries. The President expressed hope that during the ambassador’s tenure it will be possible to elevate bilateral relations to a new level, emphasizing that with mutual readiness and consistent efforts, the countries have broad opportunities for developing relations and many tasks to accomplish.

Ivan Orlić thanked the President for the warm words and reception, emphasizing his and his country’s high regard for Armenia. The Ambassador noted that his first impressions of Yerevan are very positive, adding that the two peoples and cities share many similarities.

During the meeting, the effective cooperation between Armenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina on various international platforms was also positively highlighted. The sides discussed prospects for the development of bilateral relations, noting the considerable potential for cooperation in education, high technologies, tourism, as well as other fields.

The sides emphasized the importance of intensifying mutual visits, with particular stress on the need to give new impetus to parliamentary diplomacy as an effective means of deepening interstate relations.

At the same time, attention was drawn to the need to facilitate the visa regime, noting that the introduction of direct flights would contribute to expanding contacts between the citizens of the two countries, fostering better mutual understanding, and identifying areas of mutual interest, including the activation of ties and cooperation in the business environment.
