The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachatryan, received the delegation led by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermek Kosherbayev, who is on an official visit to Armenia.
Welcoming the Minister’s visit, the President noted that it testifies to the continuous strengthening of mutual trust and friendly relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan, emphasizing the consistent and promising nature of the development of bilateral cooperation.
The importance of high-level reciprocal visits in activating political dialogue and deepening cooperation in various fields was highlighted.
Minister Yermek Kosherbayev expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality, reaffirming his country’s readiness to expand and diversify cooperation with Armenia based on the principles of mutual respect and mutual benefit.
During the meeting, the sides thoroughly addressed key directions of the bilateral agenda. In particular, the importance of stimulating investments in infrastructure projects, activating business ties, and expanding the volume of trade and economic cooperation was emphasized. It was noted that there is significant untapped potential, the full realization of which could bring a new quality to bilateral relations.
The prospects for restoring direct flights were also discussed, stressing that this step could significantly contribute to enhancing people-to-people contacts, developing tourism, and expanding business ties.
The sides exchanged views on regional developments, addressing the launch of communication routes, improving the efficiency of logistics links, and expanding economic cooperation opportunities. The importance of increasing regional connectivity was emphasized as a solid foundation for sustainable development and mutually beneficial cooperation.
