President Vahagn Khachaturyan received U.S. Chargé d’Affaires David Allen

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received David Allen, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States to Armenia, on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America.

President Khachaturyan congratulated David Allen on the United States’ national holiday, the 250th anniversary of its Independence, and asked him to convey his best wishes to the leadership of the United States and to the friendly American people.

“Congratulations on Independence Day. I wish you peace, prosperity, and continued success in advancing initiatives for the benefit of humanity and the well-being of nations,” the President said.

The President noted that the Republic of Armenia highly values its partnership with the United States, which has steadily expanded in recent years encompassing numerous areas of mutual interest.

David Allen thanked the President for the warm reception.

“It is a great honor for me to be here today. I sincerely thank You for Your congratulations and Your kind words. They mean a great deal to us, especially when they come from a trusted friend and partner. We deeply appreciate Your good wishes and the close cooperation that has developed between our two countries.

We are grateful to the people and the Government of Armenia for their cooperation. We regard all those with whom we work not only as partners but also as true friends.

Over the past years, we have accomplished significant and productive work together,” he said, adding that they would continue to strengthen cooperation in the same spirit for the benefit of both countries and their peoples.

During the meeting, the sides discussed key issues on the Armenia–United States bilateral agenda. They expressed satisfaction that cooperation between the two countries continues to develop dynamically, based on democratic values, mutual trust, and a long-term strategic partnership. They emphasized the importance of consistently implementing joint initiatives and programs aimed at Armenia’s economic development, strengthening institutional capacity, and advancing reform efforts.

The interlocutors paid particular attention to the TRIPP program, highlighting its importance for the modernization of Armenia’s infrastructure, the deepening of economic connectivity, and the development of the investment environment. It was noted that such initiatives contribute to enhancing Armenia’s competitiveness and creating new opportunities.

During the meeting, the sides highly appreciated the United States’ continued support for the establishment and development of democratic institutions in Armenia, the strengthening of the rule of law, effective public administration, and the implementation of reforms.

Referring to regional developments, the President underscored the important role of the United States in promoting stability and lasting peace in the South Caucasus. In this context, the significance of the agreements and understandings reached on August 8, 2025, was also emphasized as an important foundation for strengthening peace and cooperation in the region.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of further expanding cooperation in high technologies, the economy, energy, education, innovation, and other areas of mutual interest. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further developing the Armenia–United States strategic partnership for the benefit of the peoples of both countries and in support of regional peace and prosperity.
