President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Presidential Residence.

Welcoming the guest to Yerevan, the President highly commended his efforts to strengthen international peace and address global challenges, and emphasized the importance of his participation in the Leaders’ Summit. António Guterres expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome, noted that he was impressed by Armenia and Yerevan, and underscored the importance of hosting the COP Conference.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the importance of regional peace for the development of infrastructure and tourism. They also addressed issues related to bilateral programmatic cooperation between Armenia and the United Nations, as well as UN reforms.

The meeting between the President of the Republic and the UN Secretary-General continued over a working dinner.
