President Serzh Sargsyan’s Address to the participants of the Convention of the Artists’ Union of Armenia

I salute participants and guests of the 18th Convention of the Artists’ Union of Armenia.

The Artists’ Union of Armenia possesses rich history and traditions and throughout its history has been a significant cultural impetus for our society. There appeared a brilliant constellation of the Armenian artists, the greatest names which make as proud and which have made imprint not only in the Armenian but also in the world art.

Today, in a new historical situation, the Artists’ Union of Armenia has been able to prove that it has its special place in the contemporary art and is indispensable in Armenia’s cultural life.

I once again salute the Convention and wish you productive work for the benefit of the Armenian art development and enrichment of our culture.
