President participated at the memorial service and farewell ceremony for Charles Aznavour

On October 5, President Armen Sarkissian and Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian together with His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, Prime Minister Nicol Pashinian and Mrs. Anna Hakopian participated at the memorial service for Armenia’s National Hero Charles Aznavour and paid tribute to the memory of the world-famous entertainer. The ceremony took place at the Place of Honor of Hôtel National des Invalides in Paris.

Present at the memorial service were the President of France Emmanuel Macron, former Presidents of France, high-level officials, well-known figures from the political, public and cultural areas, representatives of the Armenian community of France. 

On October 6, at the Saint John the Baptist Church in Paris, President Armen Sarkissian and Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian, together with Prime Minister Nicol Pashinian and Mrs. Anna Hakopian was present at the liturgy served by His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II.
