President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a message of condolence to the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The message reads:

“It was with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing of Your esteemed father, the former Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani will be remembered as a visionary and distinguished leader. His contribution to the modernization of Qatar, the development of its state institutions, education and culture, the strengthening of regional stability, and the enhancement of the country’s prestige and role in the international arena is truly significant.

I extend my heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to Your Highness, the Al Thani family, and the friendly people of Qatar on this profound loss, wishing you patience and strength during this difficult time.
