President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory message to the Yezidi community of Armenia on the New Year.

“May this year be one of peace, prosperity, and well-being for you, and may our Yezidi compatriots continue to preserve their national and cultural traditions.

The friendship between the Armenian and Yezidi peoples has endured many trials throughout the centuries.

The Armenian people have always valued the willingness of the Yezidis to overcome the challenges we face together,” the message reads.
