President Serzh Sargsyan visited the Henrik Malian Theater-Studio of Film Actors
President Serzh Sargsyan visited today the Henrik Malian Theater-Studio of Film Actors in Yerevan. The President of Armenia toured the rebuilt and renovated premise of the theater and familiarized with the new conditions.
The President was informed that the Theater has been functioning in the Small Hall of the Cinema House since its creation 30 years ago and has never been renovated. As a result, it was in a dismal state. In 2011, the Union of Cinematographers of Armenia initiated renovation and reconstruction of the Hall and adjacent territory, using it both as the theater and a hall for the Union’s events. The renovation works were concluded in December 2011.
After the tour, Serzh Sargsyan watched episodes from the different performances of the theater. In the new Hall demonstrated was also the Armenfilm production film on “MovieAutumn: National Movie Month” topic.
Later, the President of Armenia met with the art works for the celebration of the New Year in the old style.
