President Serzh Sargsyan participated at the ceremony of groundbreaking for the new branch of the Matenadaran
Today President Serzh Sargsyan participated at the ceremony of groundbreaking for the new branch of the Matenadaran.
According to the Director of the Matendadaran, Hrachia Tamrazian, “the construction of a new branch of the Matenadaran is an important event in our modern history, the greatest scientific and cultural project of the last decade, which was approved and headed by President Serzh Sargsyan. This project will become a powerful signal and will strengthen our spiritual and scientific potential, as well as the development of other centers.”
The architect of the new branch, Arthur Meschian in his turn noted that “it is not a new structure but one which has been there for 20 years, tormented and incomplete which today we have the opportunity to build and bring conclusion.”
Benefactor Sergei Hambardzumian donated 10 million USD for the construction of this building since the Matendaran is a precious core.
