The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree on pardon

The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree to grant pardon to Eghishe Grigorian, Karen Tarkhanian, Avetik Ghrejian, Karlen Manoucharian, Armen Movsissian, Haroutyun Mkrtchian, Norik Haroutyunian, Sargis Parunakian, and Raju Petrossian who were sentenced to 2-4 years in prison for their participation in the events of March 1, 2008 in Yerevan, for illegal acquisition, use, transfer, possession, and bearing of arms, ammunition, and explosives, as well as for the use of force against the representatives of the authorities.

President Sargsyan decided to grant pardon to the convicts based on their appeals for pardon addressed to the President of Armenia, as well as taking into consideration the details of the criminal case, the fact that they had not been convicted in the past, as well as the family and health issues.
