President Serzh Sargsyan participated at the event dedicated to the first anniversary of the establishment of the Miasin youth movement
On February 21, President Serzh Sargsyan participated at the event dedicated to the first anniversary of the establishment of the Miasin (Together) youth movement.
The Miasin movement was established in February 2008. It unites several thousands of young people in Yerevan and almost all the marzes of the Republic.
The participants to the event noted that they are united by a great desire to participate in the processes of the ongoing reformation in Armenia, strengthening of the European values, and building a modern and advanced state. They also stressed that like anywhere else in Armenia too it is the young people who must assume the position of the social base and a vigorous protector of daring reforms.
Expressing gratitude for the invitation and warm welcome, President Sargsyan express desire to build together a country and a society where the talent is in high esteem, where the intellectual abilities and capacities are valued. “The able and thinking persons should always be in demand, “- the President of Armenia stressed and added, “I consider myself to be one of those individuals who believes that our young people have greater opportunities and will achieve greater success. They will always have their distinct place in our society, they will be active and resourceful.”
Speaking about national issues, Serzh Sargsyan said that the largest youth structure in our country is the army since those who protect our borders are 18-20 years old.
President Sargsyan expressed readiness to continue to support the young people and, in general, all those organizations and individuals whose objectives are true, who are ready to add a brick to the well-being of our country, and to build a strong and prosperous Armenia.
