The newly appointed Ambassador of Afghanistan to Armenia presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador of Afghanistan to Armenia, Zalmay Aziz (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The President of Armenia congratulated the Ambassador on his nomination and expressed confidence that his appointment would invigorate the bilateral relations.

Serzh Sargsyan said that Armenia attaches great importance to the establishment of stability and security in Afghanistan and hailed efforts directed at achieving that objective.

Noting, that in Soviet times Armenia and Afghanistan had certain relations, the two sides stressed the importance of restoring them and underscored that it stems from the interests of both countries.
