The newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Armenia presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to the Republic of Armenia Peter Ian Langenberg (residence in Tbilisi) presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The President of Armenia congratulated the Dutch Ambassador on his appointment and said that Armenia is interested in deepening her relations with the Netherlands in all areas. Noting that with this regard Ambassadors can play a significant role, President Sargsyan expressed hope that Mr. Langenberg would be active and would undertake new steps towards the expanding the framework of bilateral cooperation.

Serzh Sargsyan hailed the assistance provided by the Netherlands for the country’s economic development from the first days of Armenia’s independence and stressed efficient cooperation of the two countries in the framework of the Dutch Group in the World Bank and IMF.

The two sides mentioned the importance of developing not only bilateral but also multilateral relations, viewing the EU Eastern Partnership as an important factor contributing to that process.

At the request of Ambassador Langenberg, the President of Armenia spoke also about the NK peace process and Armenia-Turkey normalization process.
