President Serzh Sargsyan held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Armenia Alexander Bozhko, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in our country.

The President of Armenia thanked the Ambassador for his personal contribution to the deepening of the Armenian-Ukrainian relations, noting Ambassador Bozhko’s role and active participation not only as Ambassador but also as an expert in Armenian studies and a good friend of our nation.

President Sargsyan wished Mr. Bozhko all the best in his future endeavors and expressed confidence that he would remain a good friend of Armenia and Armenian people and through his activities would support further deepening of our bilateral relations.

Ambassador Bozhko noted with satisfaction that a number of the Armenian-Ukrainian cooperation areas, such as economic, cultural and cooperation in the area of decentralization, have received a new impetus and are developing dynamically, which will allow very soon to raise the bilateral relations on a qualitatively new level.

At the meeting, Ambassador Bozhko conveyed to President Serzh Sargsyan invitation of President Yanukovich to conduct a state visit to Ukraine.
