Working visit of President Serzh Sargsyan to Gegharkunik and Lori marzes

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan, who was in Gegharkunik on a working visit, left for Lori where he first visited Stepanavan. He attended festivities dedicated to the City Day and inauguration of the renovated Cultural Center named after Andranik Manukian and the new Sports School.

Later, the President of Armenia left for the Armanis mining complex where he visited Sagamar LLT ore mill and service complex located next to the mine. The President of Armenia toured the laboratory compound and observed technical equipment for mining.

At the administrative building of the Company, President Sargsyan was introduced to the works and future programs of Neva-Rus Company which is conducting mining works in Armenia through its two daughter companies – Sagamar and Molybdenum Ashkhar (Molybdenum World). The works of the enterprises are managed by the Armenian branch of Global Metals Company.

In the framework of his visit to Lori marz, President Serzh Sargsyan visited also town of Spitak, where at the New Town of Spitak neighborhood he attended the ceremony of handing certificates and keys to the new apartments built specifically for the families that lost shelter in the 1988 devastating earthquake.

The President toured the neighborhood, observed living conditions in the new apartment buildings, familiarized with the projects for future development of the neighborhood and organization of construction works. Serzh Sargsyan visited also beneficiary families, congratulated them on their new homes and conversed with them on the neighborhood related programs and issues of interest. At the conclusion of the visit, President Sargsyan planted a fir at the New Town of Spitak.
