President Vahagn Khachaturyan receives the delegation of the American Philos Project organization

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation of the American Philos Project organization.

President welcomed the guests at the Residence of the President and underlined the importance of the humanitarian programs among others implemented by the organization.

During the meeting, President of the Republic of Armenia introduced the details of the overall situation in Armenia and the region as well as the essence and history of the Karabakh conflict.

Vahagn Khachaturyan touched upon the democratic reforms carried out in Armenia in recent years and emphasized that democratic values have no alternative in Armenia.

In the course of discussion, President answered the questions of interest to the attendees in a frank atmosphere as well as introduced episodes from the processes of establishment of democratic institutions in Armenia since independence.

The head of the delegation, Robert Nicholson, expressed gratitude for the reception and the sincere discussion, and on behalf of the Philos Project organization and partners, highlighted their readiness to contribute to further strengthening and enhancement of Armenian-American relations at various levels.
