President Vahagn Khachaturyan receives the President of the Delegation of Israelite Associations of Argentina Jorge Knoblovits
President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation led by the President of the Delegation of Israelite Associations of Argentina (Delegación de Asociaciones Israelitas Argentinas) Jorge Knoblovits at the residence of the President.
The President welcomed the guest and emphasized that such visits are an additional impetus for deepening the Armenian-Argentine friendly relations.
The President also thanked the organization, in the person of Jorge Knoblovits, for its intense activity in the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
In his speech, Vahagn Khachaturyan attached importance to the activities of the Delegation in the field of combating anti-Semitism, discrimination and xenophobia and establishing interfaith dialogue, and stressed that there is a great potential for cooperation in this field.
Expressing his gratitude for the reception, Jorge Knoblovits noted that he is delighted to visit Armenia and underscored that his organization actively cooperates both with the Embassy of Armenia in Argentina and the Armenian community in Argentina.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the further deepening of Armenian-Argentine relations, including the prospects of promoting contacts between the business circles of the two countries.
Both sides reaffirmed the need to ensure democratic values, including protection of human rights, rule of law, free and transparent elections.
In his speech, President Vahagn Khachaturyan addressed the situation in the region, the details of the peace agenda, and also emphasized that Armenia is firmly pursuing the path of democratic reforms.
