    President Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Independence of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to the President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani on the 100th anniversary of Independence of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. President Sarkissian noted in particular that Armenia attaches importance to a further development of the cooperation based on mutual interests. He wished President Ashraf Ghani success as well as a lasting peace and prosperity to the people of Afghanistan.
